**A SEASON OF PLAYS - SPRING 2005**

In February and March 2005, Foursight Theatre will be working with two women writers from the region in the development of two new plays, taking the scripts from page to stage. Working within a short period of time, the emphasis will be to work primarily on text and character in the presentation of each play, for three performances at the Newhampton Arts Centre Theatre, Wolverhampton.

Foursight Theatre collaborated with SCRIPT (Birmingham) to find these new plays. Of the seventeen play texts submitted, seven were shortlisted and two were ultimately chosen for production.

THE PLAYS:

Home Sweet Home by Penni Gillis

Two elderly sisters, Glad and Marge, spend their final days in a nursing home, caught up in a banter about knickers, lovers, life and death. Each has a secret they long to share but the home is to be closed and the clock is ticking ........

Welcome To My World by Christine Watkins

In a small windswept house, Ada packs away her dead mother's worldly goods, mostly composed of old Country records.

It shouldn't take long - but the woman at the window is trying to get in, and the Jim Reeves tribute band that lives in the cupboard under the stairs won't go quietly ....
